Thanks. I very nearly went for that bike but I’ve chosen the Giant Trance X 5 instead. Very little to choose between them but I was impressed with the X5 reviews and it seems there’s been some problems with the fsr xc comp shock.

Can anyone give me some advice please? I have a Schwinn hardtail which I really like but I’m getting more into downhill stuff. My budget is under £1000 and I’m looking for something that can handle fairly rugged downhill routes aswell as being comfy on the uphills and xc stuff. I’m not looking to do anything really extreme like big jumps but I need something strong enough to handle rockier sections. I’m willing to go for older models or good second hand. Thanks!
