Amazing stunt riding…on a carbon road bike

It’s not every day that you see a carbon road bike being used as a stunt machine — hopping over boulders at the beach and styling it up at the skate park.
British trials legend Martyn Ashton does just that and more in his latest video, The BikeRadar Roadie.
The clip sees Mountain Biking Hall of Fame member Ashton hit the tarmac on his carbon Raleigh Avanti Team on his way to the UK’s premier bike festival, BikeRadar Live — which takes place on 10-11 July.

What this video does not show is the many hours of maintenance replacing spokes, tires, tubes, wheels, adjustments, sore muscles, etc.. but very impressive and lots of skills by the rider. Very inspiring.

I nearly had an assgasm when I read that. That’s just crazy. It reminds me of the moment I took my girlfriend straight down to the neighborhood walmart to find some tubes but we could only find was a plastic swimming pool and a couple of doggie bones.We improvised with some plastic clothespins and some neon yellow weedwhacker line but there just aint no substitute for the real thing. I am guessing that as the overall economy over there in china or wherever gets even more serious then those french people are gonna start wanting more money for their plastic crap. I am hoping it gets real pricey so that many of them uptight city men and women start spending at walmart. Then I can go down there and chuckle at them and key their cars when they try to take up two parking spaces.
